the melody of absence
In the quiet gap where a mother’s warmth should reside,
I wander, a solitary soul in twilight’s gentle sorrow,
Always haunted by the absence of a touch that once cradled me.
Yet within this vast, muted emptiness,
My heart kindles a secret melody,
A quite sad one
A soft defiance rising from the void.
I ink my grief with raw, unguarded verses,
Each tear a note in an unspoken hymn,
Whispering that even in absence, hope finds its way.
In the still, indifferent shadows,
I catch a glimmer of self-forged light,
Not given by others, but born from my own tender strength.
I am both the echo of missing arms and the bloom of resilience?
Carving beauty from the fractures of longing,
Embracing the truth that from emptiness, life can sing.
